Organizing a meeting to foster collaboration on “a way of living in line with world natural heritage conservation” at Thilaipa village

Sombat, youth representative from Thilaipa, together with youth representatives from Sanehphong, Koh Sadeung, and Salawa, believe in the critical importance of collaboration as natural world heritage conservation can not be accomplished by any party alone and all must recognize its value. Therefore, they worked together to set up a first meeting amongst community members to foster understanding and encourage collaboration from all the villages to help preserve the world heritage plot. However, the first step in conservation would be to fully understand what they are protecting. Therefore 7 topics were identified –  the diversity of freshwater fish, plants, insects, mushrooms, rice varieties, and natural generation from the rotational farming system, the latter being everyone’s common responsibility.
